Training that fits around your life

Personal training with me is about building strength, confidence and sustainable fitness around your life, not squeezing your life around a programme. Every session is planned for you: your goals, your starting point and your schedule.

Whether you are new to training, returning after a break or need some additional focus to your sessions, we concentrate on quality of movement, progressive overload and regular benchmarking so that you can see and feel the progress you are making.

Who I work with

I work with clients at all fitness levels, from complete beginners who want to feel stronger day to day, through to runners, cyclists and triathletes who want strength work that supports their sport.

  • People starting out, or starting again, who want a plan and someone in their corner.
  • Runners and triathletes who need strength and conditioning to stay injury-free.
  • Anyone preparing for a specific challenge: a first 10k, a half marathon, a sportive or an adventure event.
  • Busy people who want sessions that make the most of limited time.

How it works

Every journey starts with a consultation. We talk through your goals, your history and how we would work together, and I take time to listen before setting direction. From there, sessions typically include movement preparation, the main training blocks and a cool-down, with the focus on quality over quantity.

Frequency depends on your goals and preferences. Some clients meet weekly, others fortnightly, and some prefer monthly check-ins with a home programme to follow in between.

Coaching with empathy, structure and accountability

Before retraining as a personal trainer I spent more than 30 years in the communications industry, managing people, projects and long-term relationships. That experience taught me a lot about motivation, behaviour change and the realities of balancing work, life and wellbeing, and it shapes how I coach: supportive, honest and realistic.
